1. What are Smart Coasters?

Smart Coasters are custom drink coasters embedded with an NFC tag. When tapped with a smartphone, they instantly connect customers to your menu, website, social media, promotions, or other digital content.

2. How do they work?

Customers simply tap the coaster with their smartphone (no app required). The coaster instantly opens the link you’ve chosen (menu, video, booking page, etc.).

3. Who are Smart Coasters for?

They’re designed for:

  • Restaurants, cafes, and bars (menus, reservations, specials)

  • Breweries (seasonal beer releases, events, merch store)

  • Salons & spas (booking pages, reviews, gift cards)

  • Retail shops (loyalty programs, discounts, product info)

  • Content creators (link to YouTube, TikTok, latest video, merch)

4. Can I update the content later?

Yes! The NFC tag’s link can be updated anytime — which means you can reuse the same coaster for different promotions, menus, or campaigns without reprinting.

5. How durable are the coasters?

They are 3D printed with high-quality PLA or PETG materials and sealed with protective poly urethane coating for durability and water resistance. They’re built to last for repeated daily use. See below for ideal use case and temp limits.

PLA (Polylactic Acid)

  • Best for indoor use.

  • Maintains strength up to ~55–60°C (131–140°F).

  • Ideal for coffee shops, offices, and home use.

  • Eco-friendly and available in a wide variety of colors.

    PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol)

  • Best for indoor & outdoor use.

  • Withstands higher temps, up to ~75–80°C (167–176°F).

  • More resistant to impact, moisture, and UV exposure.

  • Great for breweries, patios, or high-traffic environments.

6. What customization options are available?

7. How do customers get their logo or link added?

Simply send us your logo file and the URL/link (menu, website, social profile, video, etc.) you want embedded. We’ll handle the design and setup.

8. How long does it take to receive my order?

Typical turnaround time is 1–2 weeks, depending on order size and customization. Rush orders may be available upon request.

9. How much do Smart Coasters cost?

Pricing depends on:

  • Quantity ordered

  • Basic (standard coaster) vs. Smart (with NFC)

  • Customization complexity

Most projects start between $5 – $20 per coaster, depending on order volume and selected features.

10. Do customers need a special app?

No — modern smartphones support NFC tap-to-open directly. Just tap and go.
